Hyper-V shows up “This PC can’t run Windows 11”

Hyper-V is the Standard Virtualization Platform on Windows 11 because Hyper-V on Windows 11 provides a robust virtualization platform with native integration and the best thing is, Hyper-V is part of Win10/11 in Version Professional, Enterprise and Education.

A customer called me he want’s to install an Windows 11 Test-VM on his Notebook. The Problem is, that during the Installation Process of Windows the Error-Message shows:

Solution:

Windows 11 requires a TPM Chip (Trusted Platform Module) – so it can be the that Hyper-V is starting the VM without an active TPM Setting.

1.) Right-Click on the VM
2.) Settings
3.) Security
4.) Enable under Encryption Support the Option “Enable Trusted Platform Module”

5.) Restart VM and Restart Installation process.
